MJK Electric is an industrial electrical contractor built for manufacturing plants, processing facilities, machine shops and distribution centers across the Phoenix metro. We know what an hour of downtime costs, so we plan industrial work around keeping your lines running, from a single motor circuit to a full service changeover.
Industrial Electrical Services
Power distribution and switchgear
Switchgear, switchboards, transformers, feeders and distribution panels for 480V three-phase facilities. Our work includes 4000A switchgear deployments and 3000A+ service changeovers in active manufacturing facilities, planned so the cutover happens on your schedule with no unplanned downtime.
Motor control: MCCs, VFDs and starters
Motor control centers, variable frequency drives, soft starters and motor branch circuits for pumps, fans, conveyors and process equipment. We install new motor controls, rework existing MCC buckets, and size circuits and overload protection to the equipment actually running on them.
Control panels and PLC integration
Control panel wiring, PLC I/O, sensors and field devices, and integrating new equipment into existing control systems. We work alongside your controls engineer or equipment vendor so the power and control wiring match the design.
Machine and equipment power
Power drops, disconnects and bus duct for production equipment, including CNC lathes, mills, presses and automated lines. See CNC, lathe and mill installation for details.
Safety systems
Emergency stop circuits, safety interlocks and guarding switches, wired so a stop actually stops and a reset doesn't restart equipment unexpectedly.
Plant lighting
High-bay LED retrofits and lighting controls for production floors and warehouses, so you get more light on the work with a lower power bill.
Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
Scheduled inspection of switchgear, panels, disconnects and motor circuits, plus fast troubleshooting when something trips or fails. When a machine is the problem, our machine troubleshooting service picks up at the equipment.
Working in Live Facilities
Most industrial work happens in buildings that are already running. We plan it that way from the start:
- Shutdown planning. We map which loads are affected, sequence the work, and schedule outages for your planned downtime, weekends or off-shifts.
- Phased work. Larger upgrades are broken into stages so production keeps moving between them.
- Electrical safety. Lockout/tagout and work practices that follow OSHA requirements and NFPA 70E, for our crew and yours.
- Clean handoff. Labeled equipment, updated panel schedules and a clear record of what changed.
Facilities We're Built For
- Manufacturing plants and production lines
- Machine shops and metal fabrication
- Processing facilities
- Warehouses and distribution centers
- Commercial buildings converting space to light-industrial use
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you work while our plant is running?
Yes. Most of our industrial work is done in operating facilities. We plan outages around your production schedule and phase larger projects so only the affected equipment goes down, and only when you've planned for it.
Do you work on 480V three-phase systems?
Yes. 480V three-phase distribution, motor circuits and machine power are a core part of our industrial work.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency industrial service?
Yes. If equipment or power is down, call 602-930-7277 any time, day or night.
Will you coordinate with our engineer or equipment vendor?
Yes. We regularly work from engineered drawings and alongside controls engineers, equipment vendors and OEM service technicians.
